Bermuda Sod
Bermuda is by far the best sod for the climate region in Northwest Arkansas.

Benefits of Installing Bermuda Sod
- Heat and drought resistance: Bermuda is a warm-season grass that thrives in the hot, sunny summers of Arkansas. Its deep root system helps it survive extended dry periods better than other grass types.
- Adaptable to soil types: This turfgrass can grow on a wide variety of soil types, as long as the drainage is adequate and there is plenty of sunlight. Northwest Arkansas has areas with acidic soil, and Bermuda can tolerate slightly acidic conditions.
- Winter hardiness: Compared to other warm-season grasses, Bermuda grass has better winter hardiness. While it will go dormant and turn brown below 50°F, it can withstand the chillier winters of the Ozarks. Newer, cold-tolerant cultivars like ‘Riviera’ and ‘Yukon’ are well-adapted for the entire state.
